On March 27, 2005 we took our first walk through the 10 acres of untouched land, located on Barley Neck Road in Woolwich. We reached the edge of the property which peered out onto a beautiful tidal cove, and absorbed the most beautiful sunset we had seen.  The decision was clear.  This is where we would build our “log cabin”. The next morning, we put a deposit on the land, and our journey began. 

 We had a vague vision of the home that we would build…Unpretentious. Inviting. Warm. Unencumbered views of the sunset. Blending into the landscape. Comfortable for adults, children and pets. Spacious enough to have many guests, but cozy enough for the two of us.

 Then we found the Hoopers. From the first 3 hour meeting with Steve to discuss the specs of the home, we knew that we had found the right person to build our home. He asked us to bring pictures of rooms we envisioned and we spoke very intimately about what was important to us.  It was obvious from the beginning that Steve’s passion for creativity and his ability to connect at a much deeper level with his customers is what makes Hooper Construction the most unique in the industry.
